This billboard sits along the main corridor between the fort and the downtown plaza, and gets especially heavy travel from military personnel, and the employees of the medical district in down town Augusta. This sign sees traffic heading towards the Gordon Hwy on the way to Fort Gordon, and also has high visibility from nearby Olive Road at a traffic light.
Located between two traffic lights, the sign gets heaviest traffic in the afternoons, and is located close to a school and is visible from the stalled traffic during dropoff and pickup times.
Advertising space on a digital billboard is divided using segments of time called slots. A digital screen displays an ad image for about eight seconds, and a full slot will show an ad once per minute. Every time an ad is displayed, it shows for the same eight seconds, and we call that an impression.
Sometimes advertising space can be purchased at a lower rate by dividing up these slots among multiple advertisers. We call these options Half and Quarter slots. A half slot will show an ad (for the same eight seconds) once every two minutes, and a quarter slot will show it once every four minutes.
